A Note about Packaging
Soap Nuts are packaged in re-sealable grip seal bags. The bags are initially permanently sealed above the grip to ensure the Nut Shells arrive super-fresh. Just cut the top off the bag above the grip and you have a handy re-sealable bag to keep the Nut Shells fresh.
We thought long and hard about packaging and experimented with several eco-friendly paper and card-based alternatives to polythene. However, since Soapnuts are better stored in dry conditions, we had no alternative. Simply Soap Nuts come in waterproof jackets!
Please note that we also supply Simply Soap Nuts in paper refill packs. This is as a direct response to our returning customers expressing a wish to reuse the resealable bags they had with their first order.
You’ll also be happy to learn that our original bags are polythene. Polythene is totally recyclable. Polyprint Mailing Films Ltd is the UK’s leading printed polythene film manafacturer. We don’t automatically include a wash bag with our Soap Nuts. Many existing customers prefer to use recycled alternatives - like a popsock, which is the absolute best thing to use. The ultra fine fabric allows oodles of soap to escape.
However, if you are new to Soap Nuts or don’t have a popsock or an old pair or tights lying about and would like us to include a free cotton wash bag with your order - please add one to your basket here.
